Omega Ladies De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph Chocolate: A Heavenly Pairing of Two Grand Traditions

Nicknamed “Chocolate,” the Ladies Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph 422.58.35.50.13.001 would be a delectable addition to any chocolate lover's wardrobe.
The inspiration may have come from the dark side (of Switzerland’s world renowned chocolates that is) but the result is nothing short of heavenly. For what could be more perfect than the pairing of two of Switzerland’s grand traditions: chocolate making and watch making? The Ladies Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph 422.58.35.50.13.001 is perhaps the world’s first watch inspired by chocolate. And as the picture attests, it would be a luscious adornment to any woman’s wrist.
There’s something distinctly ladylike about the Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph 422.58.35.50.13.001. Maybe it’s the soft cocoa dial surrounded with 42 diamonds set in polished 18-carat red gold (or optional stainless steel). Three elliptical sub-dials in lavender mother-of-pearl provide chronograph functions and continuous small seconds, and in contrast with the 21st century precision of their functions give the watch added elegance and almost vintage appeal. Another notable feature is the timepiece’s faceted, diamond-polished lozenge-shaped hands and its enlarged date window, showing the preceding and following dates, set between 10 and 11 o’clock. The chocolate inspired look continues with chocolate colored calfskin leather strap with fold over clasp.
But it’s what’s inside that bears testimony to Omega’s 160 year+ history as a great Swiss watch maker and innovator. The Ladies De Ville Chronograph Chocolate is powered by the exclusive Omega 3313 self-winding chronograph caliber, the first chronograph movement in the world to use the revolutionary Co-Axial Escapement technology. This self-winding movement is equipped with a column wheel that governs the precision operation of various levers for the chronograph functions. Though column-wheel chronographs are recognized as the finest chronograph movements available, they remain exclusive since very few manufacturers are capable of producing this highly sophisticated mechanism.
The movement is a thing of beauty in its own right, with circular graining, Geneva wave decoration, rhodium-plated surfaces and gold-plated engravings – all visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
With its luscious face and divine details, the Ladies Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph 422.58.35.50.13.001 would be a touch of sheer bliss on a chocoholic’s wrist.
This is a very nice place! Good luck!
