Day or Night Omega Ladies Constellation Quartz Steel 35mm a Perfect Look
Day and Night. Night and Day. Cole Porter sang an ode to it. Now Omega celebrates the enduring popularity of contrasts with two glittering new Ladies Constellation Watches.
In 1982 Omega launched the Constellation with its trademark “Griffes” or claws at the three o’clock and nine o’clock positions on the bezel. It instantly became one of the world’s most recognizable timepieces. Last year the Constellation was redesigned, and this year at Baselworld 2010 Omega introduced these stunning new members.
Blending the timeless popularity of black and white with the allure of diamonds, each timepiece features 11 single cut diamond markers graduating in size on each side of the dial from the six o’clock date position. Silver-tone Dauphine hands provide a graceful counterpoint to the supernova pattern that emanates from the Constellation star on each dial.
As with all good design, it’s the little, almost unseen things that can provide big impact and here the impact is shown in the slight tapering of the white rubber or black leather strap as it flows seamlessly from the case.
The Constellation Ladies Quartz 35 mm steel on white rubber strap timepiece features a steel case and bezel with Roman Numerals coated with white. A white dial completes the monochromatic elements. The effect is one of timeless elegance, making this a watch that will add a touch of beauty and grace to whatever the wearer is doing.
Equally lovely in shades of black and gray is the Constellation Quartz 35 mm steel on a black leather strap. Omega takes the sleek European design of the Constellation Quartz 35mm and ramps up the glamour by adding a diamond bezel. The blue grey dial puts one in mind of the night sky and is sure to turn heads when worn with evening attire.
Both the white and black models are powered by Omega’s quartz caliber 1532. A domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside ensures the watch will keep its beauty and is another indication of the quality Omega puts into each watch.
Whether worn beneath the moon or under the sun, these Constellation Quartz 35 mm Steels are sure to be favorites for many years to come.
Way to go! This was an interesting piece and a fabulous timepiece. Well done.
